Moneyables

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026

Moneyables (“Moneyables,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website moneyables.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site.

Please don’t send us sensitive financial information. We will never ask for your Social Security number, bank or brokerage account numbers, credit card numbers, or passwords, and we don’t need them to answer your questions.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form and email. When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe to our emails, we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your first name.
  • Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address, and optional website you enter, plus the comment itself.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring website, pages you view, links you click, time spent on pages, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Approximate location (such as city, region, or country) inferred from your IP address. We do not collect precise geolocation.
  • Cookie and similar identifiers placed by us and by our analytics, advertising, and affiliate partners, as described below.

Information from third parties

Our analytics, advertising, and affiliate partners may provide us with aggregated or de-identified reports, such as how many visitors viewed a page or how many times an affiliate link was clicked.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our content;
  • Respond to your messages, questions, and requests;
  • Send newsletters and updates you have asked to receive;
  • Understand how visitors find and use the Site (analytics);
  • Display advertising, including advertising tailored to your interests where permitted by law, and measure how ads perform;
  • Track referrals from affiliate links so we can be compensated;
  • Detect and prevent spam, fraud, invalid ad traffic, abuse, and security incidents; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device. We and our partners also use similar technologies such as pixels, web beacons, local storage, and device identifiers. These technologies fall into a few categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site to work, such as security, load balancing, and remembering your privacy choices.
  • Analytics and performance — help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
  • Advertising and targeting — used by advertising partners to show relevant ads, limit how often you see an ad, and measure results.
  • Functionality — remember preferences, such as the details you enter in a comment form.
  • Affiliate — record that you arrived at a merchant’s website from a link on our Site.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the Site may not work as intended. You can also use the opt-out tools listed in the Advertising section below.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, and general device and location information. Google’s use and sharing of this information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, and you can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Advertising

The Site is supported by advertising. We work, or may in the future work, with third-party advertising companies and ad management partners to serve ads when you visit the Site. These companies, and their own partners (such as ad exchanges, bidders, and measurement providers), may use cookies, pixels, device identifiers, and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites — for example, your IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, and interactions with ads. They use this information to provide advertisements about goods and services that may interest you, to limit the number of times you see an ad, and to measure ad performance. This is often called interest-based, personalized, or targeted advertising.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings.

You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many participating companies using these industry tools:

Opt-outs are specific to the browser and device you use, and they may be removed if you clear your cookies. Opting out doesn’t mean you will stop seeing ads; the ads you see will simply be less tailored to your interests. When we partner with an advertising network, we may add that partner’s required disclosures to this policy.

Some links on the Site are affiliate links. When you click one, the merchant or affiliate network may place a cookie on your browser to record that the referral came from Moneyables. If you make a purchase or sign up for a product, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Those companies’ collection and use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. Learn more in our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure.

7. Email and newsletters

If you subscribe to our emails, we use a third-party email service provider to store your address and deliver messages. Our emails may contain tracking pixels and tracked links that tell us whether a message was opened or a link was clicked, which helps us improve our content. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

8. Comments and embedded content

When you leave a comment, we also collect your IP address and browser user-agent string to help detect spam. A hashed (anonymized) string created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it; if you do, your Gravatar profile picture may be shown publicly next to your comment. Comments and the name you provide are publicly visible once approved.

Articles may include embedded content from other websites, such as videos, images, or social media posts. Embedded content behaves the same way as if you had visited the other website, and that website may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content.

9. How we share information

We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers that help us operate the Site — for example, web hosting, content delivery, security, form handling, email delivery, and analytics — who may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Advertising and affiliate partners, as described in the Advertising and Affiliate Links sections above.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law or legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Moneyables, our visitors, or others.
  • Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of the Site.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

Moneyables does not sell personal information for money. However, allowing advertising partners to collect information through cookies and similar technologies for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or “targeted advertising,” under certain U.S. state privacy laws. See Your U.S. state privacy rights below.

10. Data retention and security

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy. For example, we keep messages you send us for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping; we keep newsletter subscriber information until you unsubscribe; and analytics data is retained according to our analytics settings. We may keep information longer where required by law.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections, to protect the information we collect. However, no website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@moneyables.com and we will delete it.

12. Your choices

  • Cookies: adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies, or use the opt-out tools listed above.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): where required by applicable law, we and our advertising partners will treat a GPC signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser or device.
  • Do Not Track: there is no common industry standard for Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals, so the Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. We do honor GPC signals as described above.
  • Email: click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send.
  • Access, correction, and deletion: contact us at contact@moneyables.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.

13. Your U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia — you may have some or all of the following rights, subject to exceptions in applicable law:

  • Right to know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you;
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Right to delete personal information we have collected from you;
  • Right to data portability, meaning a copy of your information in a portable format;
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling;
  • Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information);
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights; and
  • Right to appeal our decision on your request.

Categories of personal information we collect

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, from you, your device, and our partners, for the purposes described in section 2:

  • Identifiers — such as name, email address, IP address, and cookie or device identifiers. Disclosed to service providers and advertising partners.
  • Internet or other electronic network activity — such as browsing activity on the Site and interactions with ads and links. Disclosed to service providers, analytics providers, and advertising partners.
  • Approximate geolocation — derived from IP address. Disclosed to service providers and advertising partners.
  • Inferences — such as interest categories that advertising partners may derive for ad targeting.
  • Communications — the content of messages you send us. Not sold or shared for advertising.

Of these, identifiers, internet activity, approximate geolocation, and inferences may be “sold” or “shared” with advertising partners for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined under some state laws. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

How to exercise your rights

To opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, visit our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or enable a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser. To make any other request, email contact@moneyables.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and tell us which state you live in and what you are asking for.

We will confirm receipt and respond within the time required by law (generally within 45 days). To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request to know, correct, or delete, typically by confirming control of the email address associated with your information. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with “Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal within the time required by law. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.

California “Shine the Light”

California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

14. Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Moneyables is the controller of your personal information. We process personal information on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — for example, for non-essential cookies where consent is required and for our newsletter. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Site, respond to inquiries, and prevent fraud, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation — where we must process information to comply with the law.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email contact@moneyables.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Where required, we or our advertising partners will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies, using a consent management tool. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for these transfers.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when we add new partners or features, or when laws change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice as required by law. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

16. Contact us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, email us at contact@moneyables.com or use our contact form.
